PASTA NIGHT TO THANK VOLUNTEERS

ITS and the Istituto Professionale Alberghiero Di Stato "Giuseppe Magnaghi' from Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy, have organised a pasta night for the volunteers who participated in the L-Istrina Charity Campaign in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund for Christmas 2009. It was a small gesture of thanks to the all those who worked hard to produce 12,000 mince pies and 1,000 feet of Christmas log which were then sold and the proceeds donated to the MCCF.

The event was sponsored by Barilla and Attard and Co. People who attended the event were also given a token from Barilla.

ITS lecturer Ivan Zammit and Victor Gilson organised the event while the Italian participation consisted of 33 students and 4 lecturer, namely Raffaele Fragalle, Daniela Rocca, Daniele Parsegani and Maria Grossi.

The Italian group were in Malta to attend English langauge lessons and they also attended a Maltese Cuisine lesson delivered by Ivan Zammit and James Attard. They were also taken on a visit the Hilton Hotel and a one-day tour in Gozo organised by ITS lecturers Vincent Zammit and Graziella Bencini.
