Module Overview The aim of the module is to offer students a basic introduction into the business of conferences, banquets and similar events. In this module students will learn how to identify the diverse characteristics of different events. They will also be given the basic planning needs for such operations including the provision of staff and other logistics, security and legal requirements. Students will also e introduced to the basics of supervisory skills connected with the organization of such events. As part of their studies students are expected to collate an assignment focusing on the organization a themed dinner event.
