Module Overview The aim of the module is to help students understand: the basic principles of procurement, the implications of quality, pricing and cost control. In this module students will learn how to choose appropriate methods of purchasing, conduct appropriate yield testing, establish correct pricing and set standard specifications for quality. Other topics include types of organizations, the supply chain and basic concepts of logistics. Students will also be exposed to the necessary skills in understanding the use of correct documentation, payment terms and the code of ethics related to procurement and cost control.
