Module Overview The aim of the module is to give students, who have already pursued the Basic Wines course, the opportunity to further develop their knowledge of the world of wine. During the course of this module the main wine producing countries and regions will be looked into covering climate conditions, sol types, main grape varieties, viticulture and vinification procedures and the main wine types/styles produced. In this module students will learn how to interpret the quality levels of the major wine types/styles, give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, and apply basic principles required for wine tasting and evaluation.
