The Library at the Institute of Tourism Studies offers a wide range of books on all the subjects taught at the Institute.
The various collections are arranged on shelves in numerical sequences by their Dewey classification number. The labeled bookcases and shelves indicate the respective collections to help library users find what they are looking for more easily. All available books can be taken out on loan for a maximum period of three (3) weeks.
Reference and Short Loan Section
Books within the section marked as Reference can only be consulted on the spot. Other books marked as short loan can be borrowed after 3.00pm and should be returned to the library the following morning by not later than 9.00am.
Periodicals
A range of periodicals related to Catering, Hospitality and Tourism Studies are also available for library users.
Membership
All registered full-time students receiving a stipend will be issued with a Library Membership Card which can be collected from the Librarian's Office. All other students who do not receive a stipend require a permit to borrow books from the Library. Permits are only valid after a refundable deposit of LM20 is paid at the Accounts Department. Non-members students can also make use of all the services of the Library but are not entitled to borrow material outside the Library.
Reservations
Reservations can only be made on books that are found to be already on loan. The student who has made a reservation is expected to collect the item/s within seven (7) days from the receipt of the notifying letter. The library reserves the right to decline reservations on over-booked titles.
Services
All the services offered at the ITS Library are free of charge except for the use of photocopying. A photocopying card is needed to operate the photocopying machine. Such card can be obtained against payment from the Accounts Department.
Library Personnel
The personnel at the Library is ready to help and offer guidance and instruction regarding the use of the library and the services it offers. To facilitate the use of the Library a computerised system was introduced whereby one may find all the book collections that are available at the library. One can search for the books himself or ask for assistance.

Opening Hours
The Library is open from 1st October - 15th June on weekdays between 07:45 hours and 17:00 hours and from 16th June - 30th September on weekdays between 07:45 hours and 13:00 hours.
