Slow Food Movement

The Institute of Tourism Studies together 
with a number of other Maltese individuals 
has created the first Slow Food Convivium 
Malta, with the aim of promoting the 
healthy philosophy of eating and the 
education of the students and the general 
public. 
 
Slow Food is an international membersupported 
association that promotes 
healthy eating, the promotion of good 
eating and good practices. The association 
has expanded from a regional association 
to a world-wide one due to the great 
support that it has generated in other 
countries all over the world. The success 
of Slow Food has led to the establishment 
of a number of prestigious international 
events as well as projects that promote the 
philosophy of the Slow Food International.
