The primary aim of the Resource Centre at the Institute of Tourism Studies is to provide computer access to the students. The room consists of 12 computer stations all equipped with the latest technology to facilitate the students throughout the course of their studies. Students also have the opportunity to surf the web in order to conduct educational research and print a limited amount of pages daily. At the Resource Centre one may also find visual, audio and audio-visual educational resources. Students may browse the catalogue which contains a list of all the videos, dvds and cassettes available under their respective headings. The students are allowed to make use of the resources available. However the use of this material is restricted for internal use only. The Resource Centre is sometimes also utilized as a classroom. During particular lectures students need to be taught how the computerised systems are implemented in the tourism industry. Such sessions are conducted in the Resource Centre so in order to give the students the possibility to learn newly introduced concepts on a guided practical level. Resource Centre Personnel The personnel at the Resource Centre are willing to help the students with their queries and to offer technical support where necessary.
