Competing with the Capitals of Art through innovative incoming tourism product development : foresight Opportunities Aid Foundation of Malta iwill organise a specialised training course at the Institute of Tourism Studies in May 2010. Details of the course are available here. Participants from the following categories would be eligible to request funding from the National Agency for the Grundtvig Programme : - trainers and lecturers in tourism, marketing and product development strategies who would ideally specialise in the tourism sector, - professionals working in the private or public sector who are responsible for the product development, medium and long term strategies and policy development in tourism in general and preferabbly who also work on incoming cultural tourism, - policy makers in tourism or individuals who come from groups that represent operators or clusters of operators who have a key stakeholding in the incoming tourism sector, and - culture operators who develop culture products that would, in view of their character, be aptly considered as viable incoming cultural tourism products. The course is in May 2010 however the deadline to request funding is in January 2010 and this is why we are making contact at this time so that we will have enough time to offer technical support to applicants through the application process. from where one can download the registration form as well as instructions about the process for request for funding that would cover travelling, accommodation and subsistence as well as participation costs.
