The Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies of the ITS is organizing the third art exhibition with the collaboration of the Malta Institute of Professional Photography and the participation of two Egyptian artists. This exhibition will be offering the mixture of two distinct arts, namely that of photography and body art. The two artists are well known in Egypt, and they have also exhibited abroad. The exhibition is now open to visitors from Monday to Friday during office hours. Ayman Lofty and Riham Elsadany have been working together since 2005. They have always been obsessed by the complexity of human Psyche. They combined their ideas, believes, tools and visions together into a new form of art. Ayman and Riham created a number of body painting projects; “The Other Side of faces”, “A Visitor”, a Commissioned body painting project for the Cairo Airport, Terminal 3, titled “People of the World” and Commissioned body painting project for Alexandria Library (Bibliotheca Alexandrina) titled “Two Lives”. Merging painting and photography into one artwork has been used by several artists all over the globe but merging two people’s visions, passions, experiences and skills in one fine art was quite difficult, yet unique. This merging, gives the chance to the viewers to analyze the qualities of paintings and photography all in one art work and also gathered the audience of both photography and painting to notice how this artwork leads to the creation of larger and more complex statements. With this exhibition the Institute is continuing with its endeavours to increase awareness amongst the student body of various artistic expressions originating from different artistic background and through different media. More exhibitions are planned for the near future.
